Shop-At-Home Service

Our Shop-At-Home Service includes truckload purchasing of broadloom carpet--all high quality, designer broadloom, 45-65 ounce face weight, many of which are DuPont Stainmaster nylons.  These truckloads were purchased at extreme discounts based on the fact that they are off-national colors, dropped patterns or manufacturers' extreme overages.  They also contain full and partial rolls of carpet inventory from famous manufactureres.  All of these carpets come with full warranties backed by Carpet Giant.  In addition to the truckload specials, we belong to the Abbey buying group, with approximately 800 locations nationwide.  This allows us to purchase manufacturer Stainmaster specials, reduced in cost by the manufacturers with the savings to be passed on to our customers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR SHOP-AT-HOME SERVICE:

Q: How can you offer these prices when other shop at home services or box stores may not be able to?
A: Keeping this inventory of truckload specials is labor intensive.  Up to 500 selections are currently in our warehouse and these inventories are reduced on a daily basis.  Larger national shop at home services may find this too labor intensive.  There is such a variety of selections and sizes that mass merchandisers, in our opinion, may not be able to keep track of these daily sales.  Our sales staff operates only in Westchester County at this time.  Therefore the management of these inventories has been possible for the many years that we have been stocking such inventory.  We believe these values fly under the radar of the big box stores for consistent merchandising.

Q: How does the quality of your carpeting compare to the other shop at home services?
A: At this time we offer Stainmaster nylons in our inventory at the price of $3.22/sq ft or $28.95/sq yd installed over 6lb rebond pad.  These are 45-65 ounce heavy, luxurious, designer broadloom carpets which we believe to be valued at twice this price.

Q: Do these prices include total installation packages:?
A: No.  This price includes standard labor on flat floors.  If you have old carpet to remove, stair installation, furniture moving or other custom detailing, additional charges may apply.  Compare the bottom line of our Shop-At-Home Service against the others.  We believe that we are one of the most reasonably priced.  Also compare us to other shop at home and big box stores when they tout very low total home installation...the questions you need to ask to compare are: does that include the pad, does that include the metal or wood trim, does it include the measuring service or the tackless which may be needed for your installation or any other custom details?  We believe that when you compare services that you will find the Carpet Giants' bottom line the most favorable.

Q: How can some shop at home services offer as much as 60% off:
A: Frankly, we don't know how they make such a claim when the truth is that the product, installed, doesn't have a 60% mark up by national flooring stores or anyone else we know offering reasonable pricing.  We also find it hard to believe that you can buy two rooms and get the rest of the house for free if you pay a reasonable rate for those first two rooms.  We make our claim of up to 50% off because we are offering quality products which are purchased at manufacturer reduced truckload pricing on every single square foot.  In our shop at home service, you don't have to overpay for the first few feet - every single foot is priced right!
